Born in Rome on 21 February 1963

Benedetto Santacroce is a lawyer and has been a member of the Rome Bar Association since 20 January 2002.

He holds a degree in law cum laude from the University of Perugia and a further specialist degree in economic and financial security studies from the “Tor Vergata” University of Rome. He specialises in tax and customs law, e-invoicing, fiscal archiving, supplementary social security and compliance programmes under Legislative Decree No. 231/01.

Initially an officer in the Revenue, from 1997 to 1999 he worked at the European Commission DG XXI – Taxation and Customs Union as a national expert seconded by the Ministry of Finance.

Currently an adjunct professor of “Criminal Customs Law” at the Faculty of Law of the University of Turin and a lecturer at both the Tax Police School and the Non-Commissioned Officers School of the Revenue Police, he previously taught at the “Ezio Vanoni” Central Tax School of the Ministry of Finance and the “Guglielmo Marconi” Online University of Rome.

A frequent writer for various newspapers and journals that specialise in tax and customs matters (“Il Sole 24 Ore”, “Guida Normativa”, “Il Fisco”, “L’Impresa”, “Guida al Diritto”, “Contabilità Finanza e Controllo”, etc.), since 1997 he has been enrolled as a freelance journalist with the Union of Journalists of Rome. He regularly speaks at conferences and training courses organised by trade associations, professional bodies and training centres.

He is a representative of the Italian Association of Certified Public Accountants (Consiglio Nazionale dei Dottori Commercialisti) at the Federation of European Accountants (FEE) in Brussels and also Chair of the Studies Centre of the Italian Council of Customs Brokers.

He is a founding partner of the Firm.
